Obituary

Kay F. Fox, 74, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away August 15, 2010, at her home in Hampton, Iowa. She was born on April 28, 1936, at her family home to John C. and Elvira (Turner) Patton. Kay graduated from the Hampton High School. She was united in marriage to James Casper Fox on August 29, 1963, in Mason City, Iowa. Kay worked at Birdsell’s Super Value as a cashier for many years. She was a member of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Club and a member of the First Christian Church. Kay loved being on the farm and taking care of the baby livestock; she enjoyed taking Zach’s dog Savage shopping at Rainbow Feed, antique cars, auctions, sewing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Georgia (Jim “J.B.”) Massey of Savannah, Georgia, daughter Debra Brass of Hampton, granddaughter Mollie (Paul) Tobias of Pinehurst, North Carolina, granddaughter Tabitha Brass (Phillip Zoller) of Billings, Montana, grandson Zach Fox of Hampton, future great granddaughter, sister Ruth Hansen of Charleston, South Carolina, brother Rex (Ilomae) Patton of Rochester, Minnesota, sister Rosetta (Albert) Martin of Waterloo, brother Ray (Rae Ann) Patton of Shreveport, Louisiana, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, husband James and three brothers Waite Patton, Darral Patton and David Patton.

Inurnment will take place in the Hampton Cemetery.

We offer our sympathy to you in the sudden loss of your loved one, Kay. May God keep you all close and give you comfort. What a delightfully warm, slightly non-conventional individual! Kay was truly a person who lived life to the fullest. She lived, laughed and loved. She will be missed by many family and friends. But what joy when you think of the glorious reunion when she arrived in Heaven and into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father and to be together with all the family members who have gone on before. May God give you peace.
