Obituary

Robert H. (Bob) Uhlenhopp, 70, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away August 30, 2010, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. He was born March 30, 1940, in Allison, Iowa, to Robert and Elizabeth (Banken) Uhlenhopp. Bob attended schools in Dumont. He married Sharon Viet in 1959, and later divorce. Bob then married Ruth Stern on September 30, 1978, in Hampton, Iowa. He was in the National Guard and worked at the Geneva Elevator. Bob was affiliated with the Geneva United Methodist Church and enjoyed making canes, collecting camels, enjoyed fishing, gardening and hunting. He is survived by his wife Ruth Uhlenhopp of Geneva, son Gary (Donna) Uhlenhopp of Geneva, step daughter Sharon (Larry) Enabnit of Rockford, step daughter Joann Johnson of Mason City, step son Charles (Marilyn) Johnson of Bevington, step son Brian (Jill) Johnson of Wellsburg, brother Chris (Shirley) Uhlenhopp of Newton, sister Elizabeth Johnson of Iowa Falls, grandchildren Amy, Cassie, Jalen, Jessie, Alison, Adam, Lucas, Tyler, Evan, Alexa, Brandon and Addison, great grandchildren Caden and Avery. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Brad & Lee and two sisters Mary & Johanna. Burial will be in the Lindenwood Cemetery rural Geneva.
