Gordon Seevers Heath, 86, of Allison, Iowa, died on January 14, 2012, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He was born on July 29, 1925, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the adoptive son of Warren and Grace (Seevers) Heath. Gordon grew up in Ottumwa and graduated from Ottumwa High School. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. On January 26, 1946, Gordon was united in marriage to Dorothy Martha Koch. He worked as a self-employed distributor of tropical fish and pet supplies until his retirement in 1988. Gordon was a member of the Vulcan Masonic Lodge for fifty years and enjoyed fishing, traveling, collecting stamps, woodworking, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by five daughters: Sharon Johnson (Joe) of Huntington Beach, California, Deb Schipper (Rick) of Denver, Iowa, Rhonda Miller of Allison, Iowa, Terri Roose (Dan) of Allison, Iowa, and Lori Stewart (Randy) of Cedar Falls, Iowa, two sisters, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a special companion, Hilda Tuitjer of Allison, Iowa.
