Share Mary Jo Towne, 69, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away, Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. She was born April 20, 1942, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Melville and Mildred Ione (Olmstead) Jacobson. Mary graduated from Iowa Falls High School in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She was married to Larry E. Towne on June 20, 1987, in Eldora, Iowa. Mary worked in the Home Health Care field until her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Hampton, where she was an active member. Mary was an animal enthusiast, she loved her pets, especially her two dogs Dolly and Murphy and she was also a member of the Humane Society. She is survived by her daughter Jackie & husband Bryan Love of Greenwich, Ohio, son Jerry & wife Kim Mitchell of Johnston, daughter Julie & husband Keith Rau of Iowa Falls, daughter Jodi Jensen of Iowa Falls, daughter Jennifer Wilfong-Henry-Snyder of Bell Center, Ohio, son Joe & wife Laura Mitchell of Omaha, Nebraska, daughter Angie Campbell-Mello of Iowa Falls, sister Karen & husband Stan Abkes of Iowa Falls, seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother.
Burial will take place at the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, Iowa

I will miss you so much Mary. We shared so many truly good times. I will always remember you my friend.
She was not only my Aunt but a Very dear Friend. We would talk about our relationship with Jesus, and our Prayers for Family and Friends. I have no doubt that She is with Jesus right NOW!
Mary was a wonderful person, very inspirational, I enjoyed working with her at the care center in hampton while being in the activity dept. Great gal and will be missed. Prayers and thoughts go out to the family.
I was so sad to hear about this and our deepest sadness and sorrow goes out to the Family I barley new...but would like to come to know someday!!! I think she would like that!!!
