Shirley, was on the soil conservation (NRCS) for a lot of years....she helped get all of Butler county's program moneys out to the people. Thanks, Shirley.....and yes she liked to help with the harvest.
I send deepest sympathy to the family. I dearly remember Shirley as my only 8th grader when I taught at Coldwater #9, Greene, from l952 to l953. She was a nice young girl and a great help to me as a first year teacher. Please give my loving thoughts to her brother, Don and sister, Jean and families. You all have been in my thoughts through the years. Harriet Clabough, 715 W. 29th St., Cedar Falls, IA 50613
Shirley is a wonderful Christian lady. I had the opportunity to work with her in the Butler County Courthouse back in the “60’s” we had a wonderful friendship. She will be missed.
